When it comes to energy consumption in the broadest sense, it helps to take a closer look at everyday agency operations: employee mobility, office management, food and beverage deliveries, and much more.
Our ecological footprint
First step: We brought an expert from the company CO2-positiv! on site. Together, we determined our CO2 balance and developed a climate strategy.
CO2 reduction
We use green electricity. The majority of our employees have BVG company tickets or come to work by bicycle. When it comes to consumables and office supplies, we pay attention to recycled paper and much more.
Employees
For e-pixler, the personal footprint is also important. We regularly question our previous actions for a sustainable future. In doing so, we also look beyond our own horizons.
Data centers
We select the data centers in which we operate our server structures based on maximum computing power and storage capacity, optimal energy efficiency, and complete CO2 neutrality.
Offsetting
Every year we ensure CO2 offsetting by purchasing high-quality climate certificates. We have chosen CO2OL Tropical Mix Panama, a reforestation project certified with the Gold Standard, FSC, and UTZ.
CO2OL Tropical Mix Panama
In the provinces of Panama, Darien, and Veraguas, former fallow land and extensively used cattle pastures are being reforested with predominantly native tree species and converted into mixed forests. The project combines sustainable timber production and cocoa cultivation with the protection of biodiversity and the restoration of the forest ecosystem.
CO2OL Tropical Mix was successfully certified as one of the first reforestation projects with the Gold Standard for land use and forestry projects; the cocoa areas are the first agroforestry areas to be awarded this standard.
