IHK General Assembly: Stefan Otto is standing for election

Every five years, the General Assembly of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) is elected. This year it is that time again; voting will take place from April 25 to May 23, 2022. The IHK General Assembly is the most important body of the business community for entrepreneurs to get involved in society as a whole. e-pixler belongs to the electoral group “Digital Economy,” the third-largest sector, with 34,344 eligible companies.

This year e-pixler Managing Director Stefan Otto is running for election for the first time. In a short statement, he talks about his intentions and motivations for wanting to actively participate in this volunteer body.

I started 14 years ago by founding a two-person company, which has since grown into a successful, high-performance Full Thinking Digital Agency. With heart and mind, I have dedicated myself to driving digital transformation forward. I support our customers, as well as young start-ups, with creative and sustainable solutions on their path to success.

Intentions and Motivation

We live in a digital society full of challenges. Keeping an overview and making the right decisions requires the support of experienced experts.

As an entrepreneur from the digital industry, I want to get actively involved, help initiate change, and accompany it. The IHK General Assembly is the right body to inform ourselves, exchange ideas, and develop common positions that affect us as businesses and citizens alike.

Experience shows that politics needs important impulses in order to make decisions that affect society as a whole. The last two years of the pandemic made this especially clear once again. Where quick solutions and decisions were urgently needed, they failed to materialize and led to great uncertainty. Not only as an entrepreneur, but also as a father of two school-age children, I know what I am talking about.

As a member of the IHK General Assembly, I would like to contribute my many years of experience as a service provider, founder, and investor, and build on the IHK digital strategy for digital policy.

The following points are especially important to me:

• Political steering– Taking responsibility for digitalization
• Digital Agency Berlin– Supporting company digitalization
• Infrastructure– Ensuring fiber-optic expansion
• Schools digital– Consistently steering the digitalization of schools
• Digital corporate security– Cooperating on digital corporate security

In addition, there are topics such as developing skilled workers and creating a family-friendly work environment with the necessary work-life balance.
