The HypnoBox – a success story

Four years ago, the success story of HypnoBox began. Back then, we proudly reported on the launch of the self-hypnosis app, which was developed together with hypnotherapist Bernhard Tewes and e-pixler APPS GmbH. At that time, the app was the most comprehensive German-language solution for self-hypnosis, allowing users to customize their sessions individually.

The response was overwhelming. Shortly after its release, HypnoBox was awarded the HYPNO-INNOVATION AWARD 2018. What began as an ambitious app project quickly developed into one of the most successful offerings in the field of mental self-help applications.

The HypnoBox – a success story

Over the years, the app has been continuously developed further. In particular, the collaboration with Apple took design and user experience to a new level. As a result of a joint workshop, a new app design was created, which was named “App of the Day” by Apple itself. This recognition not only gave HypnoBox high visibility, but also boosted international downloads.

From partnership to joint company formation

e-pixler supported HypnoBox from the very beginning as a technology partner. We took over the technical development and provided strategic support in scaling. This intensive collaboration gave rise to a long-term partnership. The logical next step: the founding of HypnoBox GmbH.

The new corporate structure makes it possible to implement innovations even more precisely. Multilingual versions, a planned VR application, and new sales ideas are already in progress. English and Spanish are already integrated, and further languages are planned.

From a lifestyle product to an approved medical device

A key goal of the next development phase is the approval of HypnoBox as a medical product. In Germany, digital health applications can be prescribed by doctors since 2020. The vision: HypnoBox as a recognized app for the treatment of anxiety, stress, or behavioral patterns — by prescription.

The developer and therapy team is working hard to meet all requirements for certification. The basis for this is not only proven technology, but also in-depth know-how in the field of mental health.

In parallel with the growth of HypnoBox, e-pixler is also expanding its own business model. As a digital agency and technology partner, we specifically invest in promising ideas and support startups not only with development, but also with expertise, consulting, and financing.
