Relaunch for StorageBook: Modern Design and CMS

For our client StorageBook we were able to implement a comprehensive website relaunch with a completely new design.

Initial situation: WordPress & PHP

The previous website of StorageBook was based on a classic WordPress setup with PHP – functional, but no longer up to date technically or visually. The goal was a modern relaunch with clear user guidance, high performance, and a scalable technical foundation.

Design: Fresh, intuitive, and well thought-out

The new design was conceived by us and created in Figma. It is compelling due to a clear structure, uncluttered design, and strong user focus. Large, high-contrast areas, distinctive typography, and targeted use of color (especially the recognizable blue) create a modern look with high recognizability.

The homepage takes users directly to the location search – without detours. Elements such as the prominently placed map, clear call-to-actions ("Find storage now"), and clearly arranged tile elements support intuitive user guidance.

The design remains light and functional, without appearing cluttered. It also looks good on mobile: implemented responsively, with optimized navigation and a well-readable display on all devices.

Tech stack: Headless CMS & modern web technologies

In the backend, Payload CMS is used – a flexible, headless content management system that perfectly suits the dynamic requirements of StorageBook.
We built the frontend with Nuxt.js based on Vue.js and in combination with TypeScript . This resulted in a high-performance, SEO-friendly, and modern web interface.

Customer dashboard with Prisma.js & MariaDB

A central feature of the relaunch is the new customer dashboard, which is directly connected to a MariaDB-database is connected. The connection is made via Prisma.js, which allowed us to ensure clean, type-safe communication between the frontend and the database.

Google Maps integration with radius search

For the location search, we implemented a Google Maps integration with interactive pins and radius search function. This allows users to specifically search for StorageBook locations near them.
