TYPO3 11.5 – new functions for editors
With the release of theTYPO3 version 11.5on 5 October 2021, there are some nice new features especially for editors, making working with the TYPO3 CMS even more pleasant. We present some of the new features to you:
TYPO3 11.5 – new functions for editors
List views
The list views now offer much more flexibility; adjustments to data presentation are possible via direct dialogs.
Theshowing and hiding of data columnscan be done directly via the respective list. This makes it easy to set for each list which content should be displayed directly when it is opened.
Since quite a lot of columns can sometimes be available here, the number of possible options can be narrowed down using a dedicatedfilter.
Data export
There are also helpful new features for data export.
Data can now be exported more specifically for each individual table. While older TYPO3 versions offered few options during export, we can now choose:
- File format type (CSV or JSON)
- Export file name
- Detailed settings for the CSV format
Data selection dialog
The user dialog for choosing the corresponding target page for a link, as well as all further dialogs for selecting records, has been expanded and standardized.
The now availablefilter for pages and file directoriesis also particularly useful. In extensive installations, the displayed result can be quickly narrowed down to the actually relevant data.
File list module
The module for editing directories and files has been revised and further adapted to the general appearance. The entire dialog now works more performantly and smoothly.
Thebatch processingin this area has also been improved. Functions that were previously only found in the regular list view are now also available in the file views. This means multiple files can be edited at the same time; e.g., revising metadata without having to open each individual file separately.
The selected files can also be downloaded in bulkas a Zip file.
Deep links
Deep links definitely need to be mentioned again, because via deep links we get the same backend view as users who created the deeplink in its current view.
This will certainly eliminate some explanatory dialogs like “click on module X, then click on page with id Y and click on button Z” 🙂
